I had the honor of producing the first artist interview Antares had done in a long time with legendary vocal producer Mischke (Michael Jackson, El DeBarge, Austin Mahone). I asked questions about his influences, vocal production techniques, and music industry advice and he answered them with grace and humor.

Producer Buddy Ross (Frank Ocean, Haim, Vampire Weekend) on Auto-Tune® Vocodist

We wanted a good endorsee video for the launch of Auto-Tune Vocodist, the Antares vocoder plug-in. I enlisted artist / songwriter / record producer Buddy Ross (Frank Ocean, HAIM, Vampire Weekend, Travis Scott) to create Presets for the product and of course an interview. I jumped in the car with a video team and drove to his studio in Portland to shoot this video.

Kenny Beats Interview

Kenny Beats is one of today’s hottest music producers and influencers and I was Blessed to meet him as he was just taking off. His tracks with Rico Nasty, Dominik Fike, Denzel Curry, and others are legend status, not to mention his YouTube channel and community of over 250,000 producers on Twitch / discord.

As it was during the pandemic, we could not do the interview in-person. So I set-up the interview to be shot remotely by Kenny's video team and provided some questions. Anthony Gordon at Antares performed the actual interview.

Here he talks about his background, offers some career advice, and how he thinks Auto-Tune® Unlimited is the perfect way for producers to get access to industry-standard vocal plug-ins such as Auto-Tune Pro and Harmony Engine.
